Drops of Jupiter : 25 Years in the Atmosphere Tour

All of us here at Cascades Amphitheater — and honestly anyone who grew up blasting late-90s/early-2000s radio gold from their walkman, singing the Big Bang Theory theme without thinking, or screaming the words to “Drops of Jupiter” from the backseat of the family SUV without really knowing what it meant — we know that you know that we are LOSING OUR MINDS right now. We’re soooo ready to welcome Train, the Barenaked Ladies, and Matt Nathanson to the stage on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 for one of the best shows we’re having here all year. This stop is part of Train’s massive Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in the Atmosphere Tour (yes we really are that old… yolo) and Ridgefield is getting one of the FINAL shows of the run - meaning the band is going to be fully ready to leave it all on the Cascades stage - ending our summer off right, and giving us a once in a lifetime memory for a lifetime.

If you’ve ever seen Train live, you already know the deal: the harmonies hit, the hooks?? Duh! And the hits somehow sound even bigger outside under the Northwest sky. First hitting the scene back in 1993, their magnum opus Drops of Jupiter dropped in 2001, and the 25-year run of the album has earned them two GRAMMYs, went multi-platinum, and cemented their status as one of the most important mainstream rock-pop bands of their era. Expect the full spread of hits — “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Drive By,” “Calling All Angels,” “Meet Virginia,” the moment when the opening piano hits for “Drops of Jupiter” — plus deep cuts, covers, and whatever surprises they decide to throw in for the anniversary shows. After dozens of sold-out tours, ten studio albums, top-10 Billboard hits across multiple decades, and collaborations with everyone from Ashley Monroe to Jewel, Train is coming into this summer with something to prove and everything to celebrate.

And then… the Barenaked Ladies are pulling up, too. And if you saw them at all last year or heard about the tour, you know they’re going ham the moment the first beat to “One Week” drops. Over 30 years into their career, BNL is still that perfect blend of musical precision and total goofball brilliance — the harmonies, the humor, the improv riffs about the city they’re in (yes, Ridgefield is absolutely getting a freestyle), the whole chaotic-fun energy that made them one of the best live bands on the planet. “Pinch Me,” “Brian Wilson,” “If I Had $1,000,000,” their iconic TV themes, all the deep-cut favorites… they’re bringing the EVERYTHING bagel of setlists. And it hits even harder when it’s outdoors in the middle of August - especially when you’re in the crowd with your crew.

A summer Saturday. Amphitheater under the stars. If we’re closing out the summer… this is exactly how you want to do it. So we’ll see you soon, right here for the madness and mayhem right when Matt takes the stage. Get here early!
